REMOLD is offering 9 PhD positions starting in September / October 2025, for a duration of 3 years. These positions will be offered at the REMOLD universities (Universität Bonn, TU Darmstadt, Universität Freiburg, ENS Lyon [2 positions], Università Statale di Milano, Radboud University Nijmegen [this position is for 4 years] and Università degli studi di Padova [2 positions]).
Job information
The Doctoral Candidates will be embedded in the doctoral programs of their respective host universities. They will receive a living allowance (between 3.300€ to 3.957€ per month, depending on the country) a mobility allowance (600€) and, if eligible, a family allowance. They will be employed by the host university under the pertinent national and local regulations. In the case of the positions at Darmstadt and Nijmegen, this includes a topped-up salary, and in the case of Nijmegen an extension of the PhD position to 4 years. Further information specific to the individual host universities can be requested from the Principal Investigators.

Eligibility requirements
Doctoral candidates must not have a doctoral degree at the date of their recruitment, and can be of any nationality. In addition, they should comply with the mobility rules of the European Union: in general, they must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the recruiting organisation for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the recruitment date.
Doctoral Candidates are expected to have a strong background and keen interest in algebraic geometry and/or representation theory. Excellent writing and communication skills (in English) are also necessary.

The window for submitting applications is open from 17th of December 2024 until 30th of April 2025. During that period, the Recruiting and Career Committee of REMOLD will screen the incoming applications on a regular, first-come-first-serve basis and will schedule interviews with promising applicants.
